Reminders: Here are some other things going on at Camp Odyssey that you should keep in mind:

• Once again, CAMP ODYSSEY CLOSES ITS DOORS AT NOON ON FRIDAY (the last day of Camp). Sharp! Please make arrangements to have your campers picked up from Camp Odyssey at that time.

• We still have a limited number of Camp shirts available! There are still some I Love Camp tie-dye shirts, as well as a few Mud Madness shirts. We also still have some purple 2010 shirts, and some shirts from years past. Sizes and numbers are limited, so come peruse the piles of shirts in the Camp Office and grab an extra piece of Camp Garb to help make your memories to last a life time!

• Mark Your Calendar: Camp Odyssey Day at Jolly Roger Splash Mountain on August 14th. Contact the Camp office and buy your half-priced arm bands today! These $25 armbands will get admission to Splash Mountain from 10am-6pm, rides from 2-6pm at Jolly Roger Amusement Park, and a game of miniature golf at treasure or jungle golf from 10am-6pm. Festivities also include a Silent Auction at Splash Mountain to support the Camp Scholarship fund. Take advantage of this incredible offer today!

• Please pack a snack for your child to eat at group time since we burn lots of calories during the day. We also encourage you to send water/drinks with your child to keep them hydrated in the heat. We have water fountains throughout Camp for them to use as well.

• Campers should not wear any flip flops, crocs, heelies, or any type of open-toed shoes while at camp, due to outdoor studios and special activities.

• The Z-Snack Shack, our Camp Store, is open every day during lunch time and After-Camp. We’ve got lots of different snacks and drinks at very reasonable prices, so be sure to check it out!

Teen NYC Trip

Parents/Guardians

We will be leaving the Upper School Gym promptly at 9AM Wednesday, July 25th. If you are running late please call to let us know. Medications need to be discussed and checked with the Camp Nurse. Please pack light. Campers have to be able to carry their own bags, because we will be walking several blocks, riding the subway and ferry on Friday. In the past rolling suitcases have been a hassle.

Wednesday and Thursday campers will have a large amount of free time to explore NYC with their assigned counselor. It is very important that campers stay with their counselor at all times. We do suggest bringing cell phones, but we ask that campers are responsible with keeping track of them. Counselors’ cell phone numbers will be given to them in case of emergencies. Wednesday night we will be walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to get ice cream. Campers will need to have money for Brooklyn’s ice cream/snacks/drinks and 3 lunches. We suggest anything between $80-$100 should cover the food and souvenirs. Campers will need to keep track of their own money.

Friday morning we plan on waking up early and standing outside CBS’s Early Morning Show 7AM-9AM (depending on when we arrive!)
So keep a look out for kids in purple shirts!!!

Things to Pack
Bathing Suit, Dress Clothes (ex: collared shirt and shorts- boys, nice shirt/shorts sundress-girls) PURPLE CAMP T-SHIRT for Friday, Money for souvenirs/snacks/and 3 lunches, Cell phone, Cell phone charger, Comfortable Walking Shoes
Please do not bring any electronics that you cannot afford to lose. We will not be responsible for them.

If there are any questions, comments, concerns, please call! We are looking forward to a great adventure to NYC! –Katie Vincent 410 430 2832
